I'll leave it to others to weigh in on the wisdom of attacking the supposed weaknesses of Apple's iPhone in an ad campaign at the risk of becoming the target of viral video composers, but what caught my interest was the small type at the bottom of the Droid Does microsite which states that Droid is a licensed trademark of Lucas Films. Given that the name of Google's foray into the mobile OS space is named Android, the selection of the name Droid by Verizon may appear to be a great fit, or perhaps, a lost opportunity to create, and more importantly, own, something distinct. Perhaps we can inquire with this diminutive fellow right here for its take.
